To rent a sports car from Epic Drives you must meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 21 years old (25 years old to rent the Jaguar).
- Provide a valid driver’s license.
- Provide proof of insurance. Policy limits and transfer to a rental vehicle must be verified (See Below).
- Comprehensive and Collision (often called “full coverage”) are required.
- Liability limits must be a minimum of $100k/$300k/$100k (bodily injury is first two numbers, last one is property damage).
- “Temporary substitute auto coverage” (rental car coverage) is required. That means your auto policy automatically applies to any car your rent.
- Additional drivers must be qualified by the same criteria as the renter.
- All credit card rentals must be in the renter’s name.
- No cash renters under the age of 25*
- Cash renters require cash deposit additional to the cost of rental and must supply additional documents. See “If I Don’t Have a Credit Card, Can I Rent a Vehicle with Cash?”
It goes through your personal insurance (or commercial if applicable to you). Purchased add-on policies do not apply to higher end sports cars like ours.
The renter/driver is responsible for any damages, liabilities, etc that may occur when renting the vehicle. The name of your insurance company and policy number is required to rent as well as meeting the insurance qualifications of the question above.
Prior to any rental, we will need to verify coverage and appropriate policy limits with your insurance company to ensure coverage.
Due to the seasonal nature of our business, our location is not staffed. Our website is full service for checking availability, pricing, and booking.
Our vehicles are housed and often parked outside of 2001 E 7th St, Joplin, MO 64801. When they are not cleaned and prepped for a rental, they will often be outside for viewing.
While it does have you put in all your information, we do not have it set to automatically charge you for the rental right away when booking.
We have it set up to not charge you until we communicate about insurance qualifiers and instructions.
- Much provide 3 proofs of residency
- Must be in the name of the renter with the current address.
- Acceptable proofs of residency include:
- Lease or mortgage documents.
- Current phone bill.
- Bank statement.
- Utility bill.
- Cable bill.
- Tax return.
- Department store credit card bill.
- Other similar items of name/address verification.
- No additional drivers are permitted except for renter’s spouse.
- All rental fees must be collected in advance, plus a cash deposit (no checks).
- Cash deposit does not apply to the rental payment.
- Cash deposit will be returned once the vehicle is returned at the designated return date and time.
- One week rental period only.
- If the rental needs to be extended, even one more day, the vehicle must be returned, checked back in, washed, and inspected. An new rental contract must be written for the new period and full payment must be collected.
Please note that due to circumstances beyond our control your reservation may be delayed or have to be rescheduled.
Common causes could be other clients being late, current renter going over time, inclement weather, mechanical issues with the vehicle, scheduling conflicts, etc.
We will perform a physical walk around with the renter and we will document the vehicle’s condition with a form at “check in” and “check out.”
You will be held liable if there is any evidence of wear, tear, or damage due to activities like this.
